No. A workspace stands for whatever the work is done on: a house, an apartment building, a boat, a commercial unit. Draft began with refits and runs renovations and fit-outs the same way, because the loop is the same: a priced scope, a change, a decision, a record.

The workspace is the thing itself, named once and never closed. It holds the record, the attendance code, and a maintenance log for the rolling work. A project is bounded work inside it, with a scope and a price to govern; a workspace can hold as many projects as you like, one after another or side by side.

One subscription per account: $89 a month, month to month. It covers unlimited workspaces and projects and up to 20 invited people. Contractors never need a subscription or a seat; guest links are free and unlimited. There is no other tier.

Anyone you seat other than a contractor: a decision maker, a team member, or an observer. A team member posts updates and raises changes; an observer reads and can be named the approver. Pending invitations count until they are accepted or withdrawn. Which role someone gets is your choice; approval authority is granted by the account’s decision maker.

No. The subscription is needed to create: projects, jobs, maintenance items, and changes, and to invite people or mint an attendance code. Naming a workspace, reading and exporting the record, and logging work against a maintenance item are never gated, including after you cancel.

The decision maker who runs the project holds approval authority by default. They can cap their own limit, route approvals above a limit to someone else, or hand every decision to someone else, always their own choice. Every change is raised, priced, and decided by a named person under that authority, and approval is what moves the baseline and the timeline.

It drafts and structures. A note you save (in the app or over WhatsApp) is turned into a structured draft a person confirms into the record, or kept as written if you prefer. Draft also reads a saved note for one implication it can act on (a date that moved, a job that grew) and offers one click through the ordinary raise path. It never prices, approves, attributes, or predicts; a person decides, and nothing enters the record unconfirmed.

A workspace or a project gets a join code and a QR. A contractor scans it, texts the code, and their messages land as structured drafts a person confirms. A workspace-only code routes notes to the maintenance log.

When someone checks in at the site, the page asks the browser for location and compares it to the workspace’s pinned location; only a status (verified, out of range, unavailable) and a distance are stored. Raw coordinates are discarded immediately, and declining never blocks a check-in. See the privacy policy.

Notice, then a long grace window (30 days’ notice, then 60 days’ grace). Nothing is ever silently deleted, and export stays available throughout.

Contractors see only their own job: never project money, never other contractors. Decision makers, team members, and observers see the same record with controls fitted to their role.

Yes. The subscription runs to the end of the paid month and stops. Your record stays readable and exportable for as long as your account exists, including after you cancel. See the terms.
